Build your own wooden dream surfboard
Do you remember? The feeling after your first real wave. Surfing really gives you a kick. Imagine surfing your next wave on a wooden board you made yourself....
A workshop will be organised for the sixth time in Belgium to learn how to shape your own wooden surfboard. You choose which type of surfboard you want to make and in 4 to 5 days you build your own board step by step. You will learn all sorts of woodworking techniques and skills and everything you need to know to build any surfboard at home.
Surfboard models & prices:
The price for the workshop depends on type & length of the surfboard you want to make.
You can choose from the following surfboard models::
5’8” SPOILER shortboard: €750
6’5” KNIFE step up board: €850
7'0" ROTOR egg funboard: €900
5’8” SPOILER wave kiteboard: €975*
9’0” WING longboard: €1150**
Custom surfboard (From €1300 (€120 per foot + €600))***
(* internal reinforcement is necessary for a directional wave kiteboard)
(** composed of different lengths of wood (limited Paulownia trees of 9' high in our plantation)

The final shape (tail type, wings, bottom contours, fin set-up, ...) of the chosen can still be decided during the workshop to match individual preferences, skill, style, etc
Prices include tuition and all the materials to complete the shape of choice (internal plywood structure, paulownia/cedar deck and bottom skins, bead and cove rail strips, glues, …) and the tools needed to work.
Fins and the glassing of the board are not included in the workshop. To laminate your surfboard board with epoxy & fibreglass, you can order an optional glassing kit for 125€.
Lunch is included in the workshop price. Accommodation, breakfast and dinner are not included.
